Development and validation of CLINICAL PREDIC- TION RULES:
This group has been coordinator THEME COOPER- ATIVE RESEARCH NETWORK 03/090 for the devel- opment of methodologies for the implementation and management of knowledge in clinical practice and this node responsible for the line of research prognostic development of clinical prediction rules.
Since 1995 develops the research methodology in prognostic studies on predictive methods and conducting projects on clinical prediction rules in cardiovascular diseases, oncology, rheumatol- ogy [FIS96/1809], [FIS02/0242], [P-FIS03/248], [FIS03/0046],FIS04/019].
Participation and collaboration in the following pro- jects:
• FIS Project PS07/0945 “Prediction of mortality in patients hospitalized for heart failure: building predictive models.” The results are published in Cardiology Journal “Role of biological and non bi-
ological factors in Congestive Heart Failure mor- tality: PREDICE-SCORE, a Clinical Prediction Rule” (J Cardiol 2012;19, 6:578-585).
• FIS Project 05/1862” Validation of clinical pre- diction rules in recurrent stroke.” Publication: Recurrence after a first-ever ischemic Stroke De- velopment of a Clinical Prediction Rule. Research in Neurology: An International Journal Vol 2013 (2013) Article ID264063.

(Diet and Cardiovascular Risk in Spain.) 20 years of monitoring of a Spanish cohort.” [PI10/02123] Study DRECE V (Diet and Risk of Cardiovascular Disease in Spain), which aims are to determine the association between diet and overall mortali- ty and cardiovascular in Spain. Describe patterns and nutritional study of cardiovascular risk fac- tors and their association with mortality.
