STUDY OF THE CLINICAL HEALTHCARE PROCESS AND OF THE RESULTS OBSERVED (MAPAC)
In 2015 the content, the search engine and user interface of the digital platform Dianasalud (www. dianasalud.com) were consolidated and strength- ened. A campaign for disseminating its content was launched, to be started by publishing an article in
STUDY OF THE VALIDITY AND USEFULNESS OF DIAGNOSTIC TESTS
The follow-up of a cohort of 16078 patients who were given a chest imaging test (simple x-ray and/ or CAT) 893 of whom were detected as having a solitary pulmonary nodule, was completed. This follow-up meant it was possible to estimate the risk of lung cancer 18 months away, nodule and patient
a high-impact Open Access journal. The platform repertoire has exceeded 3000 accessible registers on inappropriate or low-value use of clinical inter- ventions in a wide range of specialities and clinical problems, produced by 22 initiatives from different continents. These include recommendations based on MAPAC projects in the Programme. This initia- tive represents a conceptual, methodological and documentary support of great value for clinical deci- sion-makers, managers and patients.
Furthermore, a contract from the European Com- mission was obtained through the Cochrane-Sant Pau group by open tender (file CCR.IHCP.C443094) to draw up the Guía de Práctica Clínica sobre el criba- do de cáncer de mama en la Comunidad Europea.
STUDY OF THE DETERMINING FACTORS OF EFFICIENCY AND SAFETY OF HEALTHCARE INTERVENTIONS
Publication in a high-impact journal of an economic assessment study on the transfemoral endovascu- lar fitting of aortic valves vs. surgery (International Journal of Cardiology 182 (2015) 321–328) and get- ting the project under way.
“Safety, effectiveness. cost-effectiveness in the me- dium and long term of anti-thrombosis therapy in patients with an acute myocardial infarction with ST elevation in clinical practice”, as a paradigm of the use of major databases by the Programme for assessment of safety, effectiveness and cost-effec- tiveness of specific treatments.
factors associated with the risk and specific mortal- ity rate in the clinical population. Until now these es- timations were obtained from population screening studies, meaning that the risks and predictive values stemming from these results will guide the clinical management of patients with these lesions more specifically (Eur Radiol. 2015;25: 3518-27).
The results of a Systematic Review covering over 2.8 million pregnant women on the effect of epilep- sy and its treatment on reproductive outcomes was published (corresponding authorship; Lancet. 2015 Nov 7;386(10006):1845-52). A significant impact of its results on the clinical management of pregnant women is expected.
METHODOLOGY, CLINICAL REGISTERS AND SCIENTIFIC DISSEMINATION
The DRECE V study, financed by the ISCIII was com- pleted, continuing the DRECE line of research on monitoring cardiovascular mortality in Spain and its relationship with the diet.
Creation of a platform for supporting the design and management of epidemiological and clinical studies (Di gestEpiclin).
